The Africa Energy Technology Centre (AETC) is proud to announce the successful completion of a pivotal, high-impact mission to Dakar, Senegal, led by our Founder and President, Ms. Emelia Akumah.
This strategic visit was focused on cementing Senegal’s role as a regional leader in Africa’s oil, gas, and energy technology space—translating strategic goals into actionable, bankable projects.
High-Level Government & Policy Alignment
The AETC mission strategically engaged with key government and policy leaders, reinforcing our collaborative approach to sustainable energy development.
A critical element was the high-level engagement with the Ministry of Energy, Petroleum & Mines – Senegal, including senior ministerial staff and technical leadership. Discussions centered on actionable next steps for the nation’s emerging energy sector:
• Joint Project Advancement: Focused on technology integration, gas-to-power infrastructure, and localized content development.
• Policy Commendation: We commend the Senegalese Government for its progressive, transparent policy frameworks that are effectively de-risking the energy technology space for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
In recognition of his exemplary leadership, Ms. Akumah extended a personal invitation to the Minister, Hon. Birame Souleye Diop, to serve as a keynote speaker at the Africa Energy Technology Conference (AETC) 2026.
Industry Collaboration & Shared Value Creation:
Beyond policy, AETC engaged directly with the major operators and national entities fundamental to the energy value chain, underscoring a powerful alignment in values: sustainable resource monetization, technology transfer, and localized value creation.
Senegal’s strategic focus on gas monetization as a stable transition fuel, coupled with concurrent development of utility-scale renewable projects, creates a dynamic, investment-ready ecosystem perfectly suited for AETC’s expertise.
The Road Ahead: Investing in Senegal’s Vision
The AETC is profoundly optimistic about the trajectory of the Senegalese energy market. We are committed to actively supporting the government’s efforts to ensure these resources directly benefit the Senegalese people through robust local content, skills development, and regional energy security.
Call to Action: Collaborate with AETC
We invite global partners from the private sector, government agencies, and technology providers to collaborate with AETC. Leverage this moment to invest in Senegal’s verified pipeline of bankable energy technology projects.
The Africa Energy Technology Conference 2026 is officially on the horizon. We are eager to welcome our partners back to the continent to finalize the agreements that will define Africa’s energy landscape for decades to come.
