In partnership with the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition, The Africa Energy Technology Conference (AETC) is honored to announce that the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Her Excellency Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, has officially committed to attending the landmark conference, scheduled to take place from 19 to 21 May 2026 at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra.
Her Excellency’s participation underscores the Government of Ghana’s unwavering commitment to advancing the continent’s energy agenda, fostering technological innovation, and positioning Ghana as a central hub for energy technology dialogue. As a distinguished academic and leader, the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana is expected to deliver a keynote address, engaging with industry leaders, policymakers, and energy experts from across Africa and beyond to discuss the critical role of technology in achieving sustainable energy access and driving industrial growth.
The Vice President’s commitment follows a courtesy visit paid to her office by the Founder and President of the Africa Energy Technology Conference, Ms Emelia Akumah and her team, during which discussions centered on the intersection of energy access, technological innovation, and inclusive development across the continent. The meeting also provided an opportunity to align on shared priorities, particularly the advancement of women and girls’ initiatives in Ghana, a cause to which the Vice President has dedicated significant attention throughout her distinguished career in education, governance, and public service.
The Africa Energy Technology Conference serves as a premier platform dedicated to accelerating the continent’s energy transition through innovation, investment, and collaboration. With H.E. Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang’s attendance, the conference reaffirms its significance as a high-level forum where actionable solutions to Africa’s energy challenges will be advanced. Organizers anticipate robust participation from government delegations, private sector stakeholders, development partners, and technology innovators, all converging to shape the future of Africa’s energy landscape.
