The Opportunity
More than sixty per cent of Ghana's population is under thirty, and thousands of graduates enter a job market each year that cannot absorb them. At the same time, millions of Ghanaians still lack reliable, affordable energy. YEEIP treats these two challenges as one opportunity: mobilise young talent to build the clean energy solutions the country needs.
What It Is
YEEIP is a national programme designed by the Centre to train, incubate and finance youth-led energy startups. It brings an academy for technical and entrepreneurial skills, incubation hubs with prototyping and mentorship, a policy and advocacy forum, and an investment network into one coordinated pathway.
Where It Stands
The programme has been designed and presented to the Presidency of the Republic of Ghana. The Centre is now mobilising the partners, institutions and funding that would put it into operation. Nothing here describes a programme already running: an expression of interest records that you want to take part, and the Centre replies when there is something to say.

YEEIP is designed around Sustainable Development Goals 7, 8 and 13 and Ghana's youth employment priorities.

YEEIP Academy
Bootcamps and workshops in renewable technologies, energy management and entrepreneurship, from financial literacy to pitch training.
Incubation Hubs
Six to twelve months of structured support: co-working space, prototyping and testing facilities, expert mentorship and demo days.
Policy and Advocacy Forum
Youth energy policy summits, briefs and a national network that gives young innovators a voice in national energy policy.
Investment and Partnership Network
A path from prototype to market, connecting founders with angel investors, venture capital and development finance.
