Africa Energy Technology Centre Hosts Successful Breakfast Meeting for AETC 2025

The Africa Energy Technology Centre (AETC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy of Ghana, recently hosted a successful breakfast meeting to introduce the second edition of the Africa Energy Technology Conference (AETC2025). Held on November 27th at the Labadi Beach Hotel, the event brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders from across the African energy sector.

Hon. John Sanie, Deputy Minister for Energy of Ghana, chaired the meeting on behalf of the Ministry. He expressed gratitude to attendees and commended the founder of AETC for her visionary initiative. The Ministry’s support for AETC as the official governmental partner was reaffirmed, with an encouragement for stakeholders to collaborate and partner in hosting the upcoming conference, emphasizing its pioneering nature in Ghana.

The meeting unveiled the theme of AETC2025: “Innovate, Invest, Implement: Revolutionized Financing for Sustainable Energy Sector Growth in Africa.” This theme underscores the conference’s commitment to driving technological advancements, attracting investment, and accelerating the deployment of sustainable energy solutions in Africa.

Ms. Emelia Akumah, founder and President of AETC, delivered a keynote address on “Energy Revolution and Shaping Africa’s Energy Future.” She discussed the conference theme and its role in exploring synergies, building consensus, local capacity building, advancing policy integration and funding for energy projects in Africa.
